Attorney Joseph Kenyon was born and raised in Plymouth, and he is a proud product of Massachusetts’s incredible public education system. Joe matriculated through the Plymouth Public Schools, and earned his Associate’s degree from Cape Cod Community College, his Bachelor’s degree from UMass Amherst, and his Juris Doctor from UMass School of Law.

Joe’s first job was working at a local supermarket where he was a proud member of the UCFW and, after college, Joe worked for several years in a public school system where he was an AFSCME member. While in law school, Joe worked at a prominent personal injury firm, gaining experience representing individuals injured in car accidents, slip and falls, and dog bites. After earning his JD, Joe spent four years on the west coast working for a state government agency where he was - yet again - a proud member of another union, this time the SEIU.

After moving back to Massachusetts, Joe worked as an Associate Attorney at a boutique law firm that exclusively focuses on representing retirement boards. Joe worked on matters encompassing nearly every aspect of the Massachusetts public pension statute, and he has litigated public pension matters in front of dozens of retirement boards, at the Division of Administrative Law Appeals, the Contributory Retirement Appeal Board, the state District and Superior courts, and he has drafted multiple appellate briefs filed in the Massachusetts Appeals Court. Joe is now happy to combine his wealth of experience in public retirement law with his ample experience working for multiple public employers in order to represent individuals in their pursuit of retirement benefits to which they are entitled.

When Joe isn’t working, he enjoys spending his time with family, his wife, and their daughter. Joe is an avid sports fan and devout follower of the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and UMass Minutemen.
